Defenders of englaland

Rather than just finish of the Norsemen I plowed on and completed there adversaries the Saxons.
These were easier than the Norse as basing up was simply gluing strips to bases.
Here they are defending one of Alfreds new churches.
Force consists of companions, 8 shield wall, 1 noble shieldwall 3 skirmishers and some command stands.

Now it's time to find some woods and get these guys on the table.

Bye for now.

  2. Excellent looking force there. Church from Leven models? My 6mm Dark Ages project is all sorted into nice zip lock baggies and sadly gathering dust. Just not got any brush time at present. Cheers, Ross

    1. Thanks, the church may be from leven, I bought it over 10 years ago and I have always wondered where I got it.
I will have to look them up, they may have some other nice models I'd like.

  4. Hi Russ, another wee invite for you. A Perth chap mentioned he'd like to get his 6mm Saxons and Normans on the table for a game of Basic Impetus before the end of the year. If it's something you'd fancy playing, let us know and we'll see what we can organise. Maybe bring your 6mm along.
    cheers,
    Tom

    1. I would be up for that. My biggest issue these days is time. If I can get home from work early enough on Thursdays I will pop up for a look.
It probably shows in the slow pace of blog entries but it has been a very busy year.

  5. I feel your pain in regards to time this year. I haven't painted since April and have only managed a few games of Songs of blades and heroes this year. Changed days...

    Cheers, Ross
