Well the trees got finished and look great, forgot to take pics so I've started something else.

The rebasing of celts and Romans continues and the mountain has been completed, just need to paint up his entourage and he's ready for some SoBaH.

Project 'real woods' pt1

I have made the decision to stop buying new stuff this year and start on all the old projects that never got finished.

First off is project real woods. This came to being due to my dislike of crappy looking terrain. 

My current versions of woods were a few trees on a bit of felt. Perfect for tournament play but I prefer more detail.

So a few quid was spent on woodland scenic tree armatures and clump foliage. These then had magnetic strip stuck to their bases.

The woods bases have steel washers placed around and will have foliage etc when finished.

Following pic shows bases with earth/dead leaves around tree positions and healthy greenery where the sun would shine.

Aliens

A break from painting today, as I have dug out the space hulk boardgame and played a little sweep n clear with the colonial marines.

The marines have to rescue the colonists and clear out the infestation. So far so good, only 1 casualty and several 'nests' destroyed.

Well the infantry got finished over the weekend. Unfortunately the Vtols will have to wait the arrival of more spray cans for there 2 tone camo.

Distracted again!

As usual, I got distracted from existing projects and started on the neglected box of Mongols.
These are from 15mm.co.uk
I bought them a few years ago for field of glory which proved rather tedious. So the poor wee figures got ignored.
So after seeing some superb 15's at a recent club day I started painting them up.
Here's a small sampler of progress so far.
